The was founded by Presbyterian Missionaries from Mexico. In the 1970’s it formed strong links with the Presbyterian Church of America (PCA).

In 2004 the BELIZE PRESBYTERIAN THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY was founded with the purpose of training ministers and elders for the work of the church. The aim of the seminary was to teach Reformed and Presbyterian doctrine in order to strengthen the presbytery and the church. The Seminary has been open for the last three years and the first two graduates are expected in 2008. Our desire is for the church universal too be blessed through the establishing and strengthening of the seminary.

           I am Julian Zugg, a
minister in the Presbyterian Church of America,
a former lawyer and law lecturer. I have
been called to aid the church in Belize by working with
the seminary. God’s call for me is to teach,
to help develop curriculum, to train minister and
elders and to establish the work of the
seminary in Belize and Central America.
